Sand dune in Fuerteventura with funny clouds
Desert and dunes, Fuerteventura, Canary Islands, Spain. Over the centuries, the winds coming from Africa carried sand from the Sahara and dropped it on the east coast of Fuerteventura. A large area of the island, near Corralejo, resembles a small desert and large dunes can be seen. Since 2009 the whole island is considered a Biosphere reserve by the UNESCO.
