S. Gabriel and S. Rafael, the twin towers at Parque das Nações, Lisbon, Portugal. The two magnificent towers were shaped to resemble a sail from the old portuguese ships used in the Discoveries. The names, S. Gabriel and S. Rafael, are the names given to two of Vasco da Gama's ships on his trip to India in the 1500s. Parque das Nações, the development originated after the Expo 98, has many examples of modern architecture, both in commercial and residential spaces. This area also features Europe's largest Oceanarium, restaurants, bars, event halls and permanent exhibit halls.  .Parque das Nações is located right next to the Tagus River (Rio Tejo) on the East of Lisbon.
